Accounting Ourselves

47. And We shall set up Balances of justice on the Day of Resurrection, then none will be dealt with unjustly in anything. And if there be the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it. And sufficient are We to take account. (Al-Anbiya, 21)

I came across this verse and for a while, it stunned me. Before I share with all readers about the my reflection upon this verse, maybe we should take a few seconds to istighfar and think. How many verses of Quran have we read today? Among those divine verses, how many touched our hearts and make us really think and reflect upon our daily lives?

It's just so happen that this verse made me realize that for these few days, I read the Quran as a matter of routine. Sounds so harsh (to me...) but in fact that is the truth. So sad!

I am not the best person to talk about this verse, but I just want to share my thought.  =)

We believe that on the day of judgement ALLAH will count our good and bad deeds to give us either punishment or be blessed with His love to enter the jannah. In this verse, ALLAH state that He will not be injustice. His Balance will not be injustice to our deeds. So, who is the one who is injustice? Since ALLAH has denied any injustice, it must be us,mankind that is being  injustice to ourselves.

Let's take a few minutes and reflect. What have we done today? Was it beneficial, to us and others? Do you think that what you do meet ALLAH's requirement to be granted with jannah, the best ni'mat ever?

Looking back in history, Rasulullah SAW, the best role model for all human was the most submissive person, yet honorable by friends and enemy. Though he had been confirmed by ALLAH to be in jannah, he didn't sit back and relax. Rather, he was the most hardworking and determined to play his role as HIS messenger. Even when ALLAH has given HIS promise to Rasulullah that nasrullah (ALLAH's help) will certainly come.

For ourselves, have we tried our very, very best to do as  much and as good as we can do? That's what matters, it is not the best achievement that we gain. Our endeavor to do our best. And believe me, it is never easy. Never.

But, we are equipped by ALLAH with do'a (supplication), the best tool for mu'min. And that should bring us back to ALLAH. ALLAH is the source our strength, as none can ever be.

Conclusion :
1. Let's do our best, try the very best in doing whatever we do with the purest niat (because of ALLAH)
2. Never stop praying to ALLAH
